Bylaws & Standing Rules
Charlotte Wilkinson, CAP

The Bylaws and Standing Rules Committee maintains conformity in chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules with the International Bylaws and Standing Rules and the Division Bylaws and Standing rules.  They may propose amendments and resolutions, edit/correlate all proposed amendments to the Bylaws and Standing Rules of this Chapter and submit them together with the Committee's recommendations and the reasons for the recommendations to the membership in accordance with these Bylaws.  Submit Chapter Bylaws and Standing Rules and/or amendments thereto to the Division for approval as amended or at least every four years and assist the Board of Directors in preparing and submitting amendments and resolutions to the International and/or Division Bylaws and Standing Rules.

Certfication
Joan Meyers, CAP-OM

The Certification Committee works with the Marketing Communications and Newsletter committees to communicate all pertinent CPS/CAP information through the IAAP year.  They also coordinate special recognition of all Chapter members who attain the CPS and/or CAP rating anytime during the IAAP year and assist with Mock CPS/CAP exams and actual exams.

Community Service
Marvel Thorne, Sherrill Mozey

The Community Service committee would like to identify organizations within our community that we can support by donating our time, talents, household items, money, etc.  Recent organizations that we have helped are: Ready for Success, Feed My Starving Children and the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery.  Our committee would like suggestions from you, with any ideas or specific need that you know of or hear about.

Fundraising

The Fundraising Committee (formerly Ways & Means) shall devise and promote projects to further the objectives of the chapter.  This committee shall be responsible for developing and implementing fundraising projects.  The Fundraising committee provides different methods of obtaining money for the chapter by way of drawings, boutiques, crafts, etc.

Historian
Debbie Shesta

The chapter historian updates the chapter scrapbook with current photos and memorabilia from chapter events.

Hospitality & Registration
Paula Jones, Patricia Thiewes

The Hospitality committee investigates and presents recommendations for future (next year's entire program/meeting year) to the Board of directors.  The committee works with the hotel to set up dinner meetings, which include room set up, menu selection, call in guarantee, act as contact for hotel staff at dinner meetings, and assign hostesses for each meeting to act as greeters.  They work with the Program committee to determine specific needs/requirements of each meeting and work with the Marketing Communications committee to coordinate information regarding location, menu, cost, deadlines, etc.  They also work with the Treasurer to determine guarantee to be communicated to the hotel.

Marketing Communications
Lisa Hogan, CAP-OM

The Marketing Communications committee is responsible for developing and coordinating methods to increase the chapter's visibility to the public, employers, students, and others as a means of promoting membership.  The Marketing Communications committee also assists the Program committee in publicizing chapter programs.  This may include providing meeting information and press releases to local media such as newspapers, television, and radio as well as to local schools and colleges with office administration programs, and other initiatives as approved by the Board of Directors.

Membership
Renee Breiwick, CAP-OM

The Membership committee answers all requests for IAAP information packets to interested/prospective members and provides follow up with new members at 3, 6, and 12 months to ensure the chapter is meeting their expectations as well as encourage/request their assistance on a committee/special committee, etc.  The Membership committee shall direct all activities of the chapter concerned with the promotion, recruitment and retention of membership.

Newsletter
Judy Twisk, CAP-OM

The Newsletter committee initially investigates a method/source to provide assistance (monetary) with monthly mailings.  Work with all chapter committees to gather information for monthly Newsletter.  Establish deadlines/formats to ensure the newsletter is delivered to all members within two weeks prior to monthly meetings to allow adequate response time.

Nominating

The Nominating committee submits to the members a slate of one or more candidates for each office at least thirty (30) days before the Annual Meeting.

Open House & Vendor Show
Mindy Cox

This team plans and organizes our annual IAAP Open House event.  The goal of this free event is to inform the community about the benefits of IAAP and to promote the organization as an important tool for administrative professionals.

Programs & Education
Dee Woychik, CAP-OM, Nancy Janicki, CAP-OM

The Education/Programs committee sets up programs for each monthly meeting for the chapter year, introduce speaker/program at meetings, determines/reports if the year will run along a theme, and presents all programs to the Board of Directors prior to submission to the Metro Lakes Council for publication.

Sunshine

The Sunshine committee sends notes and cards (for deaths, illness, good luck, great job, well done, well wishes, etc.) on behalf of the chapter.

Website
The Website committee is responsible for the content and direction of the chapter website.
